The darker nights of autumn are owling season, and you can come too!
Join me for a special bird ringing demonstration, as we head out into the fields to catch up with the some of the most charismatic birds in Britain. Over the last couple of years, we’ve specialised in ringing adult owls as an important way of monitoring the health and success of the local population. As part of this session, you’ll learn all about these amazing birds and the work we do monitoring them, be able to watch them through thermal scopes and see them up close as they get ringed.
No owl, no fee – get your money back if no owl is caught!
Location: Sessions take place on various pieces of farmland in north-east Derbyshire, all within 10 minutes of the town of Worksop. Exact location to be confirmed closer to the time.
Time: 18:30 (duration 3-4 hours)
Price: £50
Please note there will be no toilet facilities for the duration of the session.
