Winter is one of the best times for bird ringing, when we do a lot of work with some beautiful and exciting species. Join me for a weekend catching up with some of the best birds the season has to offer – whether that be meeting winter thrushes in a local orchard, enjoying stunning Siskins, getting up close to owls or coming face to face with Woodcock out on the fields.
This is a weekend to fully immerse yourself in the world of birds. You’ll learn all about the importance of bird ringing and spend the weekend actively getting involved in the whole process.
The weekend will involve two night sessions (Friday & Saturday) and two morning sessions (Saturday & Sunday). Please note that no accommodation or transport is provided.
Location: Exact locations will be provided closer to the date but all sites will be within 10 minutes of the town of Worksop.
Time: Night sessions begin at 18:30 and last for approximately 3 hours. Morning sessions to start at dawn (6am-7am depending on time of year) and last until midday.
Price: £250
